My Favorite Fast Acting Pain Killer

My Favorite Fast Acting Pain Killer

It's no secret that Frankincense is a well known inflammation fighter but did you know that Copaiba may be even more powerful? I've found that combining both creates a fast acting pain killer that's safe and, sane. Copaiba is an amazing essential oil steam distilled from a resin tapped from Copaiba trees found in Amazon rain forests in Brazil.

New science shows Copaiba contains the same pain relieving compound (beta-caryophyllene) that's found in cannabis, in fact, Helichrysum essential oil has it too (8-12%) but it's numbers pale in comparison to Copaiba's (68.9%).  In a nutshell, Copaiba has the ability to block pain receptors from passing on pain signals to the body, quite quickly I might add.

While Copaiba is powerful in it's own right I prefer using it with Frankincense for it's regenerative properties and because I consider it to be the perfect driver. My favorite pain killer protocol gets really simple and really safe when I add 2 to 3 drops of Copaiba to a fingerful of my Frankincense infused carrier base. What's so unique and special about this carrier salve is that it evenly disperses the essential oils where they need to be and drives them deep, all this while nourishing and protecting your skin.

I've shared the recipe for the carrier salve I lovingly call Dirty Salve (coffee shop speak), you know, that shot of goodness added for a boost of energy!  The carrier oil salve is smooth, easy to use, easy to make and kicks up any topical protocol a notch. I ask you, when is Frank not a good idea? Get to know Copaiba, it's an incredibly useful EO for pain management and an excellent alternative to Birch essential oil which anyone on blood thinners or has an intolerance to aspirin should avoid.
