Make Your Own Body Spa Deodorant

Yet another DIY deodorant but oh what a luxuriously, healthy one!  This is the tried and true blend that I've settled in with beautifully.  A magnesium-rich version that's enhanced with biochemistry friendly pure essential oils.  Simple, clean, chemical free and, so easy! In my opinion, no one should buy and use commercial deodorant ever again unless it's free of all chemicals.  If you've followed my blog you know that I've posted at least 3 to 4 different homemade versions of deodorant because we need options! What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. The important thing is to keep trying, finding your happy place with DIY deodorant is well worth the effort. Since I learned how important it is to detox from the chemicals I've been cramming into my armpits on a daily for decades, I know this commitment to toxin-free deodorant is invaluable for my long-term health and well-being.  Yes I know, I've heard it all and I agree, the DIY stuff isn't always convenient or completely effective but, get clever!  If I need a little extra help during the day I apply a drop of Geranium or Lemon under my arms and all is well.  I always keep a 5ml bottle in my purse just in case! Bottom line, you can make DIY deodorant work for you with commitment and a little ingenuity!

Because there are so many lymph nodes under the arms I'm a firm believer in always including Frankincense in whatever blend of deodorant I use. Pure Frankincense can cross the blood/brain barrier, is anti-cancer and anti-tumor at a cellular level, it's extremely gentle and a tonic, soothing to all body systems. Rose essential oil  can help to purify blood by assisting the removal and neutralization of toxins. Once your blood is purified and free of toxins, you are protected from nuisances like boils, rashes, ulcers, and skin diseases, as well as more serious conditions that free radicals can cause.  And of course, the fragrance is heavenly, divine and a gift to the senses! I like Cypress in my blend too and though it might seem counterproductive as it can stimulate perspiration it also curbs excessive sweating!  Cypress can help remove toxins, excess salt, and water. This cleans the skin pores and openings of the sweat and sebum glands while keeping away acne and other skin diseases.  FYI: You'll find this same triple threat in my CW Anti-Age Salve with Rose, because the blend is worth repeating in my deodorant :) Let's get to the carrier of the blend, magnesium oil!  This is a staple in my day now, I find it helps with many things including my well being, sleep pattern and the softness of my skin.  In this blog post, "Make Your Own Magnesium Oil Plus" you'll learn what you need, how easy it is to make and all about why we need to boost our supplementation of daily magnesium.

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients to blue or amber glass spray bottle, keep out of direct sunlight. Use as an all over body spray after a shower! Dry off, spritz body including underarms (for deodorant of course) and let dry on skin for 3 to 5 minutes then moisturize with something emollient and natural like CW Anti-Age Salve.
  2. Until your body gets used to magnesium oil, you may experience a slight stinging sensation. Applying moisturizer will diffuse this sensation, hang in there...the sensation will disappear after regular use :)
